The
FSFI score and the frequency of sexual intercourse rose from 10.8 (2-26.9) and 1 (0-8) at baseline to 27.8 (15.2-35.4) and 4 (2-8) at 1 month after the last laser therapy (P<.001 for all).
The
FSFI is a 19-item self-report measure which assesses sexual function in females.
Sexual function, the outcome variable for this study, was evaluated using the
FSFI questionnaire, which is a 19-item inventory measuring sexual function over a 4-week period in six domains.
Finally Biglu et al (2016) found that non-mutilated women have significantly higher Female Sexual Function (
FSFI) score (25.3[+ or -] 4.34) compared to mutilated women (17.9[+ or -]5.39).

We used a validated standardized
FSFI questionnaire (14).
The total mean score and scores of each of the six
FSFI questionnaire domains before and after treatment did not show any significant difference between the two groups.
The following questionnaires were used: adapted Etienne and Waitman (2006) assessment card and Female Sexual Function Index (
FSFI), validated for the Portuguese language, which is a specific and multidimensional questionnaire to evaluate feminine sexual response.
The
FSFI is a valid and reliable questionnaire for evaluating the sexual function of women during the past four weeks.
The total mean score of
FSFI was 22.6 [+ or -] 9.8 and 25.7 [+ or -] 7.8 in the women with poor sleep quality versus those with good sleep quality, respectively (P = 0.004, Table 2).
