For instance, Eric Drexler, one of the founders of the Foresight Institute, a Palo Alto, California-based nonprofit nanotechnology education organization, has theorized that with the correct positioning of particles, nanotechnology could create a steak from grass, water and foodstuffs without ever involving a cow at all.
