Ten enzyme systems in starch gel were analyzed: Aspartate amino Transferase (AAT), Alcohol Dehydrogenase (ADH), Glucose-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (
G3PD), Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), Glucose phosphate Isomerase (GPI), Isocitrate Dehydrogenase (IDH), Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Malate dehydrogenase (MDH) Malic Enzyme (ME), Phosphoglucomutase (PGM), and Esterase (EST) in the polyacrylamide gel.
Twenty loci (Acph-1, Aph-2, Gdh, Got-1, Got-2,
G3pd, Gpd, Idh, Ldh, Mdh-1, Mdh-2, Me, Pt-1, Pt-2, Pt-4, Pt-5, Pt-6, Sdh-1, Sdh-2, and Xdh) were monomorphic across all populations sampled.
The enzymes assayed were acid phosphatase (Acp), aspartate aminotransferase (Aat), [Beta]-esterase ([Beta]-Est), NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase (Idh), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (
G3pd), phosphoglucoisomerase (Pgi), and phosphoglucomutase (Pgm).
