GAANN grantees serve graduate students of superior ability and financial need who are pursuing terminal degrees in areas of national need, including: ethnic, and cultural studies; biological sciences/life sciences; chemistry; computer and information sciences; educational evaluation, research, and statistics; engineering; foreign languages; mathematics; nursing; physics; and psychology.
