The company has two unions: the Alba Labour Union (ALU), which operates under Al Hurr, and the Alba Trade Union (ATU), which operates under the GFBTU.

"This march helped us raise issues that workers all over the country can relate to regarding treatment by employers and their rights," said GFBTU assistant secretary-general for the private sector Karim Radhi.
"When a worker gets a new job offer, he submits his month's notice to the management and also applies for the mobility process," said GFBTU assistant secretary for international relations Karim Radhi.
More than 150 employees were honoured at the BLUFF event at the Gulf Hotel, while 218 workers were awarded at the GFBTU event at the Crowne Plaza.
The ceremony, during which a number of Bahraini workers were honoured, was organised by the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (GFBTU) at the Gulf Hotel Convention and Spa.
