Much of what we know to date about GHH is based on findings from studies with urban African American families (Haglund, 2000; Kelley, Whitley, & Campos, 2013; Minkler & Fuller-Thomson, 2005).
GHHS members from both Marshall University's and West Virginia University's School of Medicine collaborated to bring this discussion and celebration of humanism to the attention of West Virginia's medical community.
