Summary: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky [Russia], Oct 4 (ANI/Sputnik): A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Russia's Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula on Thursday, the Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences (GS RAS) said.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located at the depth of over 50 kilometers (31 miles), 88 kilometres to the south of the locality of Ust-Kamchatsk," the GS RAS spokesperson said.
As per the Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences (GS RAS), a tsunami warning was issued on Bering Island, located in 290 kilometers from the epicenter.
