Although ActiV GP, BCGP, HAGP, and conventional GP groups were used with the same sealer, they yielded different bond strength values.
HAGP yielded the highest push-out bond strength and this can be attributed to the components and roughness of the apatite calcium phosphate coating that increased the adhesion due to penetration of the sealer particles into the coating layer of the GP.
The prominence of the mixed failure mode in the HAGP group was not unexpected and this is considered as evidence supporting the hypothesis in which the apatite coating for GP was used.
