(NYSE: PH) has acquired US-based helical rotary actuators manufacturer Helac Corp., the company said.
Helac specialises in the design and manufacture of helical rotary actuators.
The T20 series, like Helac's other actuator models, incorporates the company's rotary design concept, which uses a sliding spline to convert linear piston motion into shaft rotation.
According to Helac, the T20 series is also designed to carry substantial radial, moment and axial loads without requiring additional external bearings.
In addition, Helac has integrated exclusion seals that minimize contamination and greasable spline adapters to resist corrosion.
While Helac has been producing the T20 series for some time, the integration of the line into its published product range is something new and the model numbers and specifications have now been assigned.
The PowerGrip attachment uses Helac's geared drive mechanism, which is sealed within the bucket hinge and allows for 120[degrees] jaw movement.
conventional bucket/thumb attachments, said Helac. It can also be equipped with Caterpillar, ESCO, Hensley or John Deere teeth options and configured in 0.28 to 1.50 cu.yd, capacities.
Helac offers the PowerGrip bucket through its worldwide dealer network to contractors, utilities, municipalities and rental houses.
also said the actuators have resilience to shock loads as a result of" an innovative, sliding gear operating concept that distributes loads equally.
