The adoption of the Hyogo Declaration and the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 (
HFFA): Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters (ISDR, 2005) in 2005 and, towards this goal, the establishment of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in 2006 underlined the crucial role of reducing risks and strengthening community resilience to disasters.

Today,
HFFA will present findings from a study by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland which compares the cost of foods which are available to low-income households.
