The family members of patients with HGG have been identified as becoming the closest caregivers (Madsen & Poulsen, 2011).
Research identifying the needs of patients with HGG and their caregivers is emerging; however, there is still inconclusive evidence regarding the imminent and changing needs.
This prospective longitudinal and exploratory study conducted individual semistructured telephone interviews with patients with HGG and their caregivers at five time points along a 1-year disease and treatment trajectory: surgery and diagnosis (interview 1), oncological treatment (interview 2), treatment response scans and oncological treatment (interviews 3 and 4), and after standard treatment (interview 5).
Included in the study were persons aged [greater than or equal to] 18 years, newly diagnosed with HGG (World Health Organization classification grade III/IV), with a Kamofsky Performance Score (KPS) [greater than or equal to] 60, and able to speak and understand Danish.
During the 1-year HGG trajectory, patients and their caregivers described how they experienced and responded to the diagnosis, treatments, and late stage of the disease.
Patients and caregivers had varying responses and approaches to PI after being informed about the HGG diagnosis, being either seeking or limiting levels of PI.
The patients and their caregivers were informed at the same time postoperatively about the life-threatening nature of the HGG disease.
Chuck-style HGG pressure vessel cutting machinery includes the PC-600 Pipe cutting machine for cutting smaller vessels, nozzles and spools; eight SPC-Series machines for cutting a wide range of diameter sizes of vessels, spools and nozzles; and the hybrid SPC-1200-RB that combines the precision of a chuck-based HGG cutting machine with a material handling roller-bed for maximum productivity and automation.
HGG, headquartered in Wieringerwerf, Netherlands, is an international supplier of pipe cutting machines, robotic profile cutting lines and associated cutting equipment solutions.
HGG produces 3D cutting machines for every kind of steel with the exception of plate (that means pipe, square, rectangular, I, H, T, flat, HP/bulb, equal angle, unequal angle, etc) and as long as it is thick enough to require a bevel (weld preparation).
Among the assets purchased by HGG
are leases for 159 operating stores, all McCrory-owned property including its offices and distribution center in York, Pa.
Secondary endpoints of the trial include durable response rate, defined as complete or partial responses lasting at least 24 weeks, which is being assessed as a novel endpoint in the post-surgical setting of recurrent HGG
