Cross and Moore are two of some 82 contributors to HOBL with its 39 main articles.
In its own field, HOBL is likeable: it is big, slowly unfolding the epic of electronically enhanced learning; it is a handbook and can be used as such--a resource and a reference; and it looks and feels just like a textbook with its hard, glossy cover.
I also appreciate HOBL because of my experience with blended learning as an adjunct instructor who has taught several all-online classes (even in these I have met face-to-face and talked on the telephone with students--so there's a blend) as well as primarily face-to-face classes with Internet support (WebCT).
