However, the event A3 HO scheme can result in unnecessarily frequent HOs in such dense LTE-R networks because the distance between a serving eNB and neighbor eNBs is much shorter due to a much higher level of cell coverage overlap.
To overcome this issue, in this paper, a CaT HO scheme for LTE-R networks with a high HO performance that helps to prevent unnecessary HOs is proposed.
