DALE EVANS, the singer-actress who teamed with husband Roy Rogers in Westerns and wrote their theme song, Happy Trails to You
, has died.
He became famed for his signature tune "Happy Trails to You
," which he sang along with his wife Evans, and for about 100 films in which he played a clean-living cowboy who never got to kiss the girl although sometimes he kissed his horse, Trigger.
They wore cowboy boots and spurs, shorts and T-shirts and formal black attire, listening to the strains of Happy Trails to You
in a packed Church of the Valley.
