This meant that the company would not proceed to the initial dismount point one kilometer to the southwest of the OBJ but would proceed to an alternate dismount point about 300m to the southeast of the OBJ.
Due to the initiation of the hasty attack, the platoon was forced to approach the OBJ from the southeast rather than the southwest.
