Wang, "Motion compensation of moving targets for high range resolution stepped frequency radar," Sensors, No.
High range resolution (HRR) radars use wideband waveforms to resolve individual scatterers within the target [1], presenting a high resolution range profile (HRRP) for use in target recognition or precise guidance [2-4].
It continues to be the most practical method of providing high range resolution and high average power simultaneously.
High range resolution is achieved by transmitting a large bandwidth signal, and high Doppler resolution depends on a large aspect angle variation of the target during the illumination time (or dwell time) [26].
