Students will follow a five-semester curriculum that offers stackable credentials, including six I-CAR platinum training designations, three I-CAR welding certifications, and training covering Auto Service Excellence (ASE) B2 through B5 certifications, as well as equipment-specific training with various industry partners.
Awarded by the non-profit organization the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, an I-Car Gold rating assures clientele that the company's in-house team members have each achieved the necessary accreditation level to become I-Car Gold rated for their hands-on technical repair abilities and their experience within the field.
I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director Ron Ray calls Porazzo an asset to the Education Foundation and his fellow collision repair instructors and notes, "In less than two years he has become one of the most active northeast region I-CAR instructors, and now also is trained to facilitate Instructor Qualification Workshops."
Applicants for the scholarships must be high school seniors in collision repair training classes with plans to continue education in collision repair after graduation The scholarships can be used for post secondary education or to attend I-CAR Enhanced Delivery Courses or Qualification Tests.
I-CAR also will be releasing updated schedules on recently completed programs as well as those in development.
