In order to determine the contribution of [PM.sub.2.5] to the high nonattainment rate, this paper compares the number of days when [PM.sub.2.5] was the nonattainment pollutant, that is, the days when the 24-hour average concentration of [PM.sub.2.5] exceeded the limit of 75 ug [m.sup.-3] or the IAQI of [PM.sub.2.5] exceeded 100, with the number of overall nonattainment days, that is, the days when the overall AQI exceeded 100.
There were 11 days in June 2013 when the IAQI of [PM.sub.2.5] exceeded 100.
