The samples were buffered offline with 0.2M ammonium acetate buffer and treated following the SPE protocol, and the concentrations of the eluted metal ions were quantified with
ICPMS. The results are presented in Table-3.
Arsenic species were determined in duplicate analysis in alkaline aqueous extracts of the freeze-dried turkey samples by using anion-exchange high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled to an
ICPMS which served as an arsenic-selective detector.
From these results, the LIBS with a frequency quintupled 213 nm Nd:YAG laser was also expected to be useful for depth analysis of light elements as well as heavy elements as tandem LA/LIBS with
ICPMS.
At his lab, samples are tested each night on three
ICPMS instruments to have results for doctors by morning.
Once these samples arrived in Woods Hole, it was my time to make the next rite of passage through the
ICPMS facility.
"Detrital zircon geochronology by laser-ablation multicollector
ICPMS at the Arizona Laser-Chron Center".
However, chemists quickly noticed that
ICPMS suffers from numerous interferences resulting from matrix and plasma ions of matching masses.
A Cetac LSX-213 solid- state 213 nm wavelength laser ablation system coupled to a Varian 810 quadrupole
ICPMS was used to collect the U-Th-Pb data which is listed in Table 1.
This led us to explore the drinking water and/or groundwater quality in Kosovo by analyzing the elemental composition of drinking water samples using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (
ICPMS).
Dissolved metals were analyzed by
ICPMS (7500 Series, Agilent) after filtration through a 0.45 [micro]m PTFE membrane.
