MUZAFFARABAD -- Rallies and meetings will be held across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Monday to renew allegiance to the ongoing freedom struggle in India-held Kashmir (IHK) on the occasion of third martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, an iconic young mujahid commander.
In a statement issued by his office here Thursday, the President AJK recalled that 20 youths had been killed by Indian troops alone in Tarral, a small town of IHK during the last month while four young men were shot dead by the forces of Wednesday during a protest against the previous killings.
Later on, AJK's PM, who was chief guest of Kashmir EU Week arranged by Kashmir Council EU at EU parliament sent a letter to the chair of the subcommittee requesting him for a debate on human rights violations in IHK. The Prime Minister dispatched another letter addressing Chair of the European Parliament's Subcommittee dated April 14, 2018 once again drew his attention towards human rights violation in IHK.
A three-time IHK chief minister and ruling National Conference president, Farooq insisted opening of channels of dialogue with separatists, as well as Pakistan, to settle the Kashmir dispute.
