Sharon Newsome, co-founder of the IHWT, explained: "Companies will pay an annual membership of EUR250 a year to be included in our Open Welfare Register, available for all to see on our new website www.ihwt.ie, and in return they will avail of our ethical stamp Welfare Aware.
The IHWT is Ireland's leading equine welfare charity, and rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes neglected or abused horses and ponies, caring for around 50 in total.
