This essay will demonstrate that in the period from 1980 onward, the
IICM tried to adopt a more holistic approach to the issue of ecumenical dialogue, essentially transforming it into an arena for interchurch discussions to deal with sociopolitical as well as ecumenical issues.
WBT-Master was mainly developed by
IICM. The application partners in the project were DaimlerChrysler, both Fraunhofer institutes, and Highware.
The documentation of
IICM was pioneered back in 1969 by Ruby Turner Morse, whose rank correlations of quality as assessed by Consumer Reports and CR's "representative price" revealed a price-quality correlation "so low as to lack practical significance" (Morris and Bronson 1969).
As a further requirement, the VT has to be embedded within the web-based learning and training environment GENTLE-WBT, which was developed and is being used at the
IICM. The decision was made that the VT has to be able to be used without any installation process.
