This activity was undertaken as a part of 'Empowering People against Hepatitis: The EMPATHY Campaign' project being implemented by ILBS that aims to spread pan India awareness on the menace of viral hepatitis B & C.
"We have associated with ILBS to support and promote the cause.
To drive home the core message about viral hepatitis, various innovative programs were organized at ILBS, ranging from poster competitions to family counseling sessions, slogan writing competition and fancy dress competition etc.
Welcoming the august gathering Dr S K Sarin, Director ILBS said that "India is fast becoming a very 'Rights Oriented Society'.
The event, which was organized jointly by the Delhi Government, the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) and the Amity Group, aimed "to create and disseminate awareness amongst school students and the general public regarding the deadly disease Hepatitis.
S.K Sarin, Director, ILBS said that "this journey is 10 years old and with the contribution of the health department, 2.7 million children have been vaccinated in Delhi."
