A team of astronomers led by Laurent Vigroux (Centre d'etudes de Saclay, France) has imaged the Antennae using ISOCAM, the satellite's infrared camera.
In the ISOCAM image at right, red indicates emission in the 12- to 17-micron range, while blue signifies brightness at shorter wavelengths between 5 and 8 microns.
