On the iTaPS, he said the software has been carefully designed and developed to give the taxpayer an easy and convenient way of fulfilling his or her civic responsibility of filing and paying taxes.
'I am happy to say that I have personally filed my 2018 returns through iTaPS and so is the Senior Minister and the Minister of Finance,' he added.
Mr Ofori Atta, Minister for Finance, on his part commended the GRA for the enforcement of the TIN system, which has witness an increased number of Ghanaians registering and the introduction of the iTaPS.
The iTaPs software is an integrated tax application system and payment platform that allows individuals at their personal levels to file their taxes and access other services at their comfort, which, otherwise, would have demanded legwork.
Emmanuel Kofi Nti, Commissioner-General of the GRA, disclosed this at a media engagement on 'Tax and Good Governance' and the launch of the iTaps, on Tuesday in Accra.
He indicated that the week starts with the inauguration of the iTaPS software, and would be followed by subsequent events such as tax clinics, radio and television discussions, radio panel discussions, and social media activities and among others.
'iTaPS seeks to improve upon compliance and lower cost of operation,' he said.
