Multipurpose Identity-Based Signcryption (A Swiss Army Knife For Identity-based Cryptography).
To simplify the management of the public key certificates, Shamir [1] introduced the concept of identity-based cryptography (IBC) in 1984.

[11] IETF RFC 5091 Identity-Based Cryptography Standard (IBCS) #1: Supersingular Curve Implementations of BF and BB1 Cryptosystems--2007.
Introduced by Shamir in 1984 [43], identity-based cryptography is to remove the requirement of checking the validity of certificates in fixed public key infrastructure.

A sampling of paper topics includes identity-based cryptography for grid; fuzzy integrative performance evaluation for supply chain system, the design and implementation of XML-based workflow engine, and using Trust Metric to detect malicious behaviors in WSNs.
In order to solve this problem, Shamir introduced identity-based cryptography [1].
In identity-based cryptography, first proposed by Shamir in [1], a user can implicitly certify himself through the use of a unique identity-string binding him to his user secret key.
In 1984, Shamir [1] introduced the concept of identity-based cryptography. In identity-based cryptography, a user's public key could be an arbitrary string related to his identity and his private key is computed from his identity by a trusted authority called private key generator (PKG).
While traditional public key cryptography had to deal with the certificate management problem, Shamir [3] proposed the notion of identity-based cryptography, where a user's secret key is generated as a function related to his identity-string.
To the best of our knowledge, the authentication property of the existing AAGKA protocols is achieved in the following two cryptographic mechanisms: Public-key infrastructure (PKI) cryptography [6][7][8][9] and identity-based cryptography (IBC) [1].
