National security company The Tauri Group reported on Monday the receipt of two task orders under the Joint Programme Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) Omnibus Programme Engineering and Technical Support (OPETS) Medical Domain.
While the JPEO-CBD has primarily targeted Acquisition Category (ACAT) III programs for the workshop, it can easily be tailored to ACAT I and II programs.

The JPEO-CBD has launched the Joint Platform Interior Decontamination programme, which is seeking a single technology to meet the individual sensitive equipment and platform requirements through incremental development with a view to filling the capability to decontaminate chemical and biological warfare agents from vehicle/aircraft/ building interiors and the sensitive equipment within and the associated cargo.
The JPEO-CBD was formed from the Army's existing Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense and current Navy, Air Force, and Marine chemical and biological defense program offices.
In doing so, the MDAP Trail Boss works closely with organizations internal and external to the JPEO-CBD to provide the weapon system program with a comprehensive CBRN defense solution.
Despite some early contractual issues, the fixed-wing program is now well underway, with Gentex Corporation serving as the current JPEO-CBD mask developer.
