KHIST was initially formed in 2003 and gaining a seat on the board has been a cherished aim.
Today KHIST are leading Operation Full House to bring a bumper crowd to Aggborough for the home game against Altrincham.
But KHIST's longer-term aim remains to have a say in running the club.
"It's no secret the Independent Supporters Trust would like to have a place on the board," said KHIST board member Karl Davies.
The Blue Square Bet Premier club's directors are still in talks with possible investors for longer-term finance, but KHIST have issued a further rally call to fans to join Operation Full House for tomorrow's fixture at home to Altrincham.
KHIST board member Karl Davies said: "It's like a boxing match.
A full house would bring in pounds 100,000 and KHIST are hoping fans from across the Midlands will join their effort.
A statement from the club said: "The board would like to thank KHIST and all those who are working tirelessly to raise funds for the football club and, once again thank the staff, players and supporters for their support through this difficult time."
"We've raised pounds 14,000 so far and it's an absolutely fantastic response from fans, both locally and further afield," said KHIST vice-chairman Steve Millington.
KHIST board member Karl Davies said: "This is the biggest crisis in the club's 125-year history - the clock is ticking and we are running out of time.
