The KINSA RC Suture Anchor is the second in Smith & Nephew Endoscopy's line of KINSA suture anchors.
The surgeon controls the amount of tension applied to the repair by manually tightening the KINSA suture.
The KINSA RC anchor is small -- about 1/2-inch in length -- and made from a unique, implantable PEEK-OPTIMA(R) polymer from Invibio(R), which closely matches the density of cortical bone.
Lederman explained that the KINSA Suture Anchor allows the surgeon to create a more consistent tissue attachment.
We believe the KINSA Suture Anchor represents a breakthrough in the treatment of instability repair," said Joseph Darling, vice president, marketing for Smith & Nephew Endoscopy.
