Qamar Zaman, General Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association (KPOA) who was chief guest on the occasion said that KPOA was promoting sports in the province instead of unavailability of funds.
He added that in spite of lack of funds all the registered associations with KPOA have arranged different competitions of various games including squash, cycling, tug of war, gymnastic, jui-jitsu, judo, badminton and other games in Peshawar, Kohat, Bannue, Dir, Malakand, Swat, Abbottabad and other districts.
Aqil Shah, who is also Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) vice president, told Atif Khan that POA has allotted the National Games to KP Olympic Association and expressed the hope that in a joint collaboration of KP government and Directorate of Sports KP and KPOA
, all-out efforts would be made to make this mega event a memorable one.

that called on him at CM Sectt Peshawar.It was led by Provincial President of the Association and former sports minister Syed Aqil Shah who appreciated sports policy of the PTI led govt and discussed with CM matters related to the promotion of sports in the province.
