The
LCCI President Malik Tahir Javaid said that this initiative has been taken to bring the
LCCI at par with the Chambers of Commerce in the developed world.
The decision was made in a meeting at the embassy between Pakistan High Commissioner in Malaysia Nafees Zakaria and
LCCI President Malik Tahir Javaid.
They would evolve some schedule for power outages for trade, industry and general citizens in a better way,
LCCI chief added.
LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari inaugurated the video-conferencing facility, while
LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Tariq Misbah, Vice President Kashif Anwar, former President Mian Anjum Nisar, former Vice President Saeeda Nazar, Executive Committee Member Zahid Javaid Ahmad, Waqar Ahmad Mian, Nasir Saeed, Syed Mehmood Ghaznavi, Amjad Ali Jawa and Rehmatullah Javaid were also present.
The
LCCI President said that the Punjab government should consider the Lahore Township Industrial Area for two reasons including availability of around hundred kanals of government land and secondly a rail track also passes through the industrial area.
LCCI Acting President Khawaja Shahzad Nasir and Vice President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal said here that good response from the SBP to the
LCCI demand would give a big relief to the business community.

LCCI, it is sure that together the both organizations can address the needs of the Pakistani defense market as well as explore export markets of various products/ systems of mutual interest," Brigadier Waheed Mumtaz said.
