The mechanism of LLLI promotion of SIRT1 expression and [NAD.sup.+] level has not been well elucidated.
Thus, our study suggested that the LLLI may increase the transcription of NRF1 and TFAM, probably through upregulating the transcription of SIRT1 and PGC-1[alpha].
In the present study, we found that SOD2 mRNA level increased 2.8-fold by the LLLI (Figure 2).
