The Lane County Psychologists' Association presented the following awards: Lifetime achievement awards to Teri Strong, director of DIRECTION for Employee Assistance and Behavioral Health programs at Cascade Health Solutions, and Jay Buckley, who retired as clinical co-director of the Direction Service Counseling Center and continues to practice as a psychologist.
Robert Weiss has received the 2004 Distinguished Service/Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lane County Psychologists' Association. Weiss, a professor emeritus in clinical psychology at the University of Oregon, was recognized for his years of service to mental health professionals and clients, as well as his work as a teacher and researcher.
Teri Strong received the 2004 Psychologist of the Year Award from the Lane County Psychologists' Association, and Ellie Dominguez received the association's 2004 Outstanding Service Award.
