On March 21, the Senate adopted the thirty-fifth report of the Standing Senate Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration entitled Appointment of Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel
of the Senate.

suggested that the documents were protected by privilege, and, since the House was not sitting at the time, requested that the Auditor General's office delay a decision on the release of the documents until the House resumed sitting in September.
