The trips spend one day in Yosemite Valley, then head out for Tuolumne Meadows or Little Yosemite Valley
Beginning at Tuolumne Meadows, we climb to Clouds Rest, with its unsurpassed panoramic views, then, onto Little Yosemite Valley
to ascend Half Dome, weather permitting, on our layover day.
From here, you can explore Washburn Lake, fish, and just relax for a day and night before heading down again along the upper reaches of the Merced River, through the polished granite of the Little Yosemite Valley
and finally to the Mist Trail beside Nevada and Vernal Falls and into Yosemite Valley once again.
A more overnight in Little Yosemite Valley Campground (permit required; see page 45), 3 1/2 miles from the Summit.
From Nevada Fall, the trail levels off for a mile into Little Yosemite Valley through the back-country campground.
