Original works for the plaza and the building interiors were commissioned by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. Among those works is "Vigor Vortex," by the de la Torre Brothers, Einar and Jamex de la Torre, which is themed after the tree of life, a universal symbol of growth, shelter, and complex systems, and meant to reflect the work done at Rancho.
