Binay commended members of MADAC and the Makati Police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs and Special Operations Task Group (SAIDSOTG).
Binay, who chairs MADAC, commended the anti-drug operatives for successfully bringing the six convicts to justice through giving credible testimonies backed by evidence presented in court during trial.
The mayor also claimed that pursuant to the Local Government Code, local government units shall pursue undertakings to improve the public morals and maintain peace and order which can be done by also improving the composition of the MADAC.
The MADAC is now composed of the mayor as the chairperson, the Chief of Police as the vice chairperson with members from the Liga ng mga Barangay, Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Peace and Order, Department of Education, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and DILG and Municipal Health Office.
With these findings, the PADAC in coordination with the MADAC
of Kiangan scheduled a BADAC training on August 15 at the Municipal Gymnasium to sustain this initiative with the end of equipping the BADAC members and the members of other drug abuse councils on the procedures and processes in handling similar cases including the appropriate interventions.
