The survey includes demographics and modified versions of scales developed by other researchers (e.g., Buss & Durkee, 1957; Zuckerman, 1971), as well as measures developed by researchers at the Mississippi Alcohol Safety and Education Program (MASEP).
Researchers at MASEP previously constructed and used most of this survey in a series of prior studies designed to assess the role of behavioral and psychosocial variables with drinking and driving (McMillen, Adams, Wells-Parker, & Anderson, 1992; McMillen, Pang, Wells-Parker, & Anderson, 1991; McMillen, Smith, & Wells-Parker, 1989).
