To give you an idea of what the MBFI
is looking for, and to give last year's winners further recognition, here is the list:
Held from September 5 to October 5 every year, NTM is a movement spearheaded by MBFI and the Department of Education (DepEd), together with various multi-sectoral groups which recognize Filipino teachers and educators and their contribution in shaping the countrys future.
It is implemented by MBFI, in partnership with the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines and the DepEd.
To date, MBFI has won 46 Philippine Quill for its various programs and public relations tools since 1986.
The 10 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos represent what MBFI identifies as "key pillars of society" - the academe and the peace and security sectors.
Deadline for nominations to be sent to the MBFI Secretariat is on March 1, 2018.
It's a weakness you see everywhere, and one that the MBFI
is ideally suited to address.
The MBFI and GTFI will now pursue the implementation of more long-term and high-impact projects that will benefit the marginalized and less fortunate.
According to MBFI president Chito Sobrepena, there is really no single cure for what ails the nation but one key ingredient of the formula is stakeholder engagement-a crucial factor for interventions in conflict-affected environments.
In serving the greater good, the MBFI, GTFI and the hundreds of other private foundations operating in the country today have to involve themselves more extensively in resolving conflict.
This year's batch of outstanding policemen and policewomen serves as a testament to our police force's continuing dedication to their sworn duty and professionalism [in] performing their responsibilities," MBFI president Aniceto Sobrepena said in a statement released during the awarding ceremonies last July 30.
COPS, which was already in its 10th year, will award P300,000 in cash to the winners and a trophy from the MBFI.
