The Merseyside Coalition Against Racism & Fascism (MCARF
) said it was concerned about the decision by the BNP to stand a candidate, despite there being no history of support for the group in the constituency, which covers parts of Kirkby, Huyton, Knowsley Village, Aintree, Maghull and Ince Blundell.

, said: ``I'm delighted to have been approached by Everton and given the opportunity to display our anti-racist message.
Merseyside TUC,in conjunction with trade unions, students, community and faith groups set up MCARF
in September 2003 to campaign against racism and racist and fascist organisations.
