Indigenous knowledge (IK) holders and Western scientists working in the PAD have observed a drying trend in recent decades, but direct impacts to ecosystems and ways of life can be difficult to describe in terms that seem actionable or resonate with managers and decision makers (e.g., Candler et al, 2010; MCFN, 2014).
