Facilitated by the Office of Economic Development, MEDAT includes city staff from multiple departments working together to provide a streamlined process for key projects.
"MEDAT will help in expanding economic development opportunities in Mesa while demonstrating our business-friendly approach," said Economic Development Director Bill Jabjiniak.
Each MEDAT project is assigned a dedicated project manager from the Office of Economic Development and project coordinator from the Development Services Department to provide coordination through all city processes.
As drug program coordinator of DCDC's Mandatory Employee Drug and Alcohol Testing (MEDAT) Unit, she singlehandedly developed, from the ground up, the entire MEDAT program.
MEDAT provides random, pre-employment, preappointment, post-accident/incident, reasonable suspicion, CDL and repeat testing.
