"The arrangement creates a cross-generational and international dialogue between works that engage in similar conceptual practice and thematic explorations, albeit to strikingly different ends," said Gilbert Vicario, assistant curator of Latin American art at the MFAH, who is co-curating A Poetic Universe with Beverly Adams.
The book features an introduction by the Halles about their collecting goals and essays by Mari Carmen Ramirez, the Wortham Curator of Latin American Art at the MFAH; Beverly Adams, curator of the Diane and Bruce Halle Collection; Osvaldo Sanchez, artistic director of InSite05; and Gilbert Vicario, assistant curator of Latin American art at the MFAH.
The Museum of Modern Art is currently closed for renovation, and the exhibition will be on view at the MFAH Andrey Jones Beck Building, 5601 Main Street, through January 4, 2004.

A partir de las 5 de la tarde se proyectaran tres films, seguidos por la celebracion a partir de las 9:30 de la noche en el Audrey Jones Beck Building del MFAH.
-- A partir del 29 de abril y hasta el 2 de mayo se celebra en el Museo de Bellas Artes (MFAH) el festival cinematografico "Latin Wave: New Films from Latin America", el cual cuenta con el auspicio de la Fundacion Proa de Buenos Aires.
El evento tendra lugar en el Brown Auditorium Theater, dentro del Caroline Wiess Law Building -1001 Bissonnet Street- del MFAH (Museum of Fine Arts Houston).
