The Regional Monitoring Report of MIRPS 2017-2018 consolidates the 180 commitments adopted in the MIRPS by the six participating countries, and reflects the achievements and challenges associated with the protection of refugees, asylum seekers and the displaced, in the care of host communities in each of the countries, and at the regional level.

The Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, highlighted the progress of MIRPS twelve months after its foundation.
The objective of this High Level meeting is to analyze the progress made in the implementation of the MIRPS during 2018, as well as the challenges that the countries will face in 2019.
In the High Level Event Costa Rica confirmed its commitment to the Declaration of New York, in which the States commit themselves to implement this new integral response framework (MIRPS) and invite the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to collaborate with States and consult with all relevant actors, to assess the practical and detailed application of the comprehensive response framework for refugees.
