Meanwhile, a jirga consisting of elders of Meenakhel clan on Saturday condemned the life attempt attack on head of Marwat Qaumi Jirga (MQJ
) Haji Muhammad Aslam Khan in Eesakkhel village and asked the government to bring the attackers into clutches of law forthwith.

LAKKI MARWAT -- Members of Marwat Qaumi Jirga (MQJ) met District Police Officer (DPO) Ismail Kharak at his office on Tuesday and assured him that residents of Kurrum Par would cooperate with polio teams to ensure immunization of all children under the age of five years against the crippling disease.
MQJ Head Haji Aslam Khan, Haji Amir Nawaz, Abdul Rahim and others informed the DPO about the problems faced by the residents of far remote rural localities and requested him to bring them into the notice of quarters concerned.
They told that MQJ
chief also told the Takhtikhel elders that the grand Marwat jirga would be unable to extend any help to the tribesmen if government initiated action against them.
Chief Haji Aslam Khan told this correspondent that the jirga asked the elders of Takhtikhel to hand over kidnapped men to the Marwat Qaumi Jirga, a grand peace body with representation of chieftain of different clans and sub tribes or be ready to face action of law enforcement agencies.
