Existing cabin for Marker Beacon MM 10 will be demolished and removed.
Other than price, it's worth noting that the PDA360EX differs slightly from the PMA450 in that it has a four-seat intercom (instead of six in the PMA450), it doesn't have marker beacon functions, it can't support a cabin speaker and it has no public addressing capability.
The primary mistakes I made were depending on the marker beacon annunciator to decide when to join the glideslope, plus forgetting to mash the correct button on the audio panel.
But that is where the similarities end, although the unit retains a six-place intercom, marker beacons (except on the helicopter version), a cabin speaker function, plus pilot, copilot and passenger intercom isolation.
Turns out that for $5000, I got a heated pitot, a Navcomm with glideslope, a marker beacon receiver and a Garmin GNC300XL GPS/Comm.
When considering the ILS, a marker beacon is a ground-based low-power transmitter used to advise the pilot of the aircraft's location along the ILS.
The customization also included a TCAS system, full cabin audio communication system, marker beacon, maritime communication radio, loud hailer, moving map and an upgraded GPS system.
It supports three comm radios (the extra could be for a UHF radio or a cell phone), two inputs for aural warnings, two entertainment inputs and an integral marker beacon with lights.
Except for the rocks on either side of the approach corridor, the ILS seems pretty straightforward: three-degree glideslope, simple barb procedure turn and an outer marker beacon about five miles from the threshold.
