The initiative is part of Mencap Cymru's Partners in Politics project, which has engaged thousands of young people in Wales in workshops, encouraging them to stand up for their rights and make their opinions known.

Mencap received a grant of PS1,240 from the West Yorkshire Police Safer Communities Fund which went towards providing leaflets, printed information and promotional material for the scheme across Kirklees.
