The Henley College lecturer received the out-of-court settlement this week after being represented by union
NATFE. In 1996 the English lecturer was asked to undertake a management role while retaining a heavy teaching workload.
Her complaint of sex discrimination was backed by the Equal Opportunities Commission and her union
NATFE.
The legal challenge will be on behalf of Unison, Amicus, the Rail Maritime and Transport Union, the Public and Commercial Services Union and teaching unions NUT, NAS/UWT and
NATFE.
