In addition, a synthesis of existing research was commissioned by the National Comprehensive Center for Teaching Quality (
NCCTQ) with the primary focus of providing a better understanding of what constitutes effective teaching and the advantages and disadvantages of a range of measurement tools (Goe, Bell, & Little, 2008).
