INAN ceased its activities in 1997, which led to the emergence of the General Coordination of Food and Nutrition Policy, currently General Coordination of Food and Nutrition under the Ministry of Health and responsible for the development of the National Food and Nutrition Policy (NFNP).
Through NFNP, which was approved in 1999, the Ministry of Health confirmed its commitment by recognizing food and nutrition as basic requirements for the promotion and protection of health.
